The past election may go down in history for many reasons, but I am certainly glad that it is over. Now, maybe the politicians throughout this great country can get working on the very serious problems we have. There are many challenges for our new president; two wars, the worst financial crisis in a century, energy problems and much more.

I don’t expect much from my new president to help me as a REALTOR® and small business owner, dealing with foreclosures, client’s without equity, a general loss of consumer confidence in the market, and all my business expenses on the rise. I only want and expect President-elect Barack Obama to give the citizens of the Unitied States of America real change and hope for a better future.

OK, I guess the government can take fast action and get something accomplished when it is absolutely necessary. But, will it clean up the mess? Getting the financial rescue through congress may have been the easy part. Now, John Q Public and small business is digging in for the recession that is actually already here! By the way, what ever happen to mortgage insurance in the last five to eight years? Oh well. maybe it is not necessary.
